President Notes…

Hello fellow Jaycees! Spring is here and I am excited for the first

family Picnic in the Park event. The Jaycees provide grilled meats

and all are welcome to bring a side-dish and beverage of your choice.

More details on the Picnic are included in the newsletter articles. This

is a great opportunity to bring a friend (i.e. potential member) to a

relaxed event. Everyone is encouraged to come have fun.

The Sandbox Fill event has been completed for another year. A great

big “Thank You” to everyone that helped with this event. Please see

the article on the Sandbox Fill for Sarah’s comments on the event.

We will be looking for involvement in a couple upcoming events:

Potato Bowl, Golf Tournament, and Halloween Treat Street. People

interested in these events should let myself or the respective chair

know. Part of continued involvement with events we run is driven by

our membership. I would like to challenge all our members to become

active recruiters in our community. Stay tuned for details on a

membership challenge at the next general meeting.

Congratulations to Brenda Jo for winning the OYND award at the

State Convention! We are proud to have Brenda Jo in our chapter

and will continue to support her work in the community and our

chapter. Congratulations are also in order for Jill Wilson and Teresa

Newland for winning the 1

st

quarter Star award. Both ladies were

involved in numerous community and membership events and show

that true “Stars” just pitch in and get things done!

I look forward to seeing everyone at the next general membership

meeting on Wednesday, June 13th at 12:00 pm at Ponderosa.
